eBay is one of the major market for those selling products. How can you earn on eBay and be successful eventhough you are as far as Malaysia? Follow these 10 steps religiously and you will be fine!
Tip 1: Know your market.
Check out the popular categories and see what’s rising. Follow the rising trend from other sources like Twitter and the blogosphere. Try to identify one or two products that you think will be popular.
Tip 2: Know your enemy.
Once you know your market, check out your competition. If one seller is selling more than another, find out why. What is he pitching. How does he display his product? Try to outdo him or use another angle to beat him.
Tip 3: Find your supplier.
Now that you know what to sell and how you are going to sell it. Now find who is going to supply the product to you. Try to buy in bulk to get cheaper prices. You have to make sure you are getting a lower price than what people are paying for in eBay.
Tip 4: Order small.
When you order your products, do not order too many at one go. You have to test the market first. The most important thing is you have to accept that sometimes, you will lose and that you accept them as lessons. Then try again.
Tip 5: Rinse and repeat.
Identify what you are doing right and what is wrong. Jot it down in your notes and remember not to repeat the mistakes. Now repeat what is right and probably add a new step or twists, see if that improve things.
Tip 6: Plan your business.
Now place all of your notes and figures into one place, identify the pattern and where you can improve to increase your earnings. This will be your business plan.
Tip 7: Re-invest.
Making some profit yet? If you do, then don’t go on and spend them all. Set aside some percentage to re-invest in your business. Probably you can buy your products more to get push their prices further south. Keep a track of your sales, make sure they are going up.
Tip 8: Register Your Business.
If you are feel comfortable with your momentum and work method, then it is time to take it up a notch and register your business. With a business comes credibility and potential-customers will trust a business more than an individual. Check with your local laws on how to register a business.
Tip 9: Get software to help you.
There are software that can handle all the mundane tasks like putting up the listings and updating the status of your items. Check out the market for some softwares that can really help you with your process.
Tip 10: Don’t Give Up.
You are not successful when you don’t make mistakes but instead you are successful when you rise up whenever you are knocked down. Never give up. Just keep on trying.
